CMF Design
Three letters that hide a world.
Color Material and Finish: three letters inspired by our senses, by sight, by feelings and by the instinctive perceptions of our everyday lives, encoding them and giving them shape, a standard, a way to analyse and, consequently, design them.
Enhancing a project
The CMF method identifies and develops a smart system of colours, materials and finishes that simplify the creation of stimulating environments. Colour becomes a coherent but changeable language of the object, clothing it with an aesthetic that enhances it and also alters its characteristics, making it more or less suitable for an environment or a use, changing the perception not only of the object in question but also of the space that it occupies.
The CMF method identifies and develops a smart system of colours, mate- rials and finishes that simplify the creation of stimulating environments for the office, home and even public spaces. Colour becomes a coherent but changeable language of the object with which it integrates, clothing it with an aesthetic that enhances it and also alters its characteristics, making it more or less suitable for an environment or a use, changing the perception not only of the object in question but also of the space that it occupies.
Under the artistic guidance of the architect Aldo Parisotto and thanks to colour designer Juliana Cortes, TRUE has set up a permanent observatory on CMF and offers a new selection of different colour palettes every year, based on incessant all-round iconographic research: art, architecture, interiors and design but also cinema and TV, technology and cultural movements, politics and society. Every image is collected and analysed to identify themes, aesthetic canons, forms and colour palettes that determine trends. The latter may be evolutions of previous macro-trends or short-lived trends lasting 2 or 3 years.
