2021
The new concept of Up-Cycling colors
We have been working since 2015 on our annual color trend forecasting book, by presenting color collections that represent our best match between innovative design and a CMF sensitive approach. This year we want to focus on six colors that represent better the trend color forecasting 2021+.
It has been a period where paradigms have been reinvented in their own way, health, our community, sustainability, activism and new aesthetics have come out in an unexpected form, creating new perspectives and new paths that need to be defined.
Up-Cycling Colors
Up-Cycling colors is the concept that we want to introduce this year, by using colors from our previous collections and matching them with six new representative colors. Furniture’s trend moves on in a slower way than fashion, that’s why would like to slow down the rhythm and share our 2021+ collection splitted in two issues.
New Horizons
In the current new world order we are living a domestic revolution.
Since we were forced to experience the pure concept of “back to the cave” we felt the need of pushing boundaries and create deep meaningful spaces by twisting and looping concepts of our personal comfort zones.
Emerging desire for resurgence, growth and positivity. Authenticity is celebrated through the breaking down of traditional rules and the creation of new values.
Color analysis
The Pantone 14-4211 TPG enhance the sense
of clarity, it is a long-term color, it has a clear role to play and create fresh new statements
of personal expression. This Color palette is enduring and timeless with dark brown as a foundation for a delicate cloudy blue and warmly white. A pleasant and summery orange yellow in contrast with a peace of mind pansy purple.

Color becomes paramount in defining new identities and shaping these positive visions of the future. Digital environments, new beauty standards are part of these dynamic creative process. How design impacts on our physical and mental health? The answer is hybrid design. A major takeaway is that home has been reinstated as our emotional heart land; it is personal, intimate, a perfect safe place, a highly functional cave. We need downtime spaces, easy to be transformed or like VitraHaus calls it: “the dancing office”, new solutions to apply in our homes.

As Paolo Soleri said, “arcology is an architectural organism of such character and dimension as to be ecologically relevant. Architecture and ecology reflects life”.
